Neurochem Inc. prices Public Offering of 5 million common shares for gross proceeds of US $ 54 million.

- Neurochem, Inc. (NASDAQ: NRMX, TSX: NRM) - announced today that its registration statement has become effective under the U.S. Securities Act of 1933 and that it has obtained a receipt for a final prospectus from each of the provinces of Canada in connection with its public offering of 5 million common shares, an upsizing from the previously announced size of the offering of 4.2 million common shares. The common shares will be sold in the United States and Canada at US $10.87 per share. All common shares will be offered by the company. The total gross proceeds to the company will be approximately US $54 million. The offering is expected to close on or about September 23, 2003.

UBS Securities LLC has been acting as the sole book running manager in this offering, and Bank of America Securities Canada Co., RBC Dominion Securities Inc., CIBC World Markets Inc., Loewen, Ondaatje, McCutcheon Limited and Orion Securities Inc. have been acting as co-managers. The company has granted the underwriters an option to purchase an additional 750,000 common shares to cover over-allotments, if any.
