Appointment to the Board of Directors.

- Neurochem, Inc. (TSX: NRM) today announced the appointment of Mr. Richard Cherney as a director of the Company. Mr. Cherney is currently a partner specializing in corporate and securities law, with particular focus in the life-sciences area, with the law firm Davies Ward Phillips & Vineberg LLP and is co-managing partner of the Montreal office. Mr. Cherney will be replaced as Neurochem's corporate secretary by Mr. David Skinner who has recently been appointed Director of Legal Affairs and General Counsel for Neurochem.

Mr. Skinner is a senior lawyer with significant international experience managing and executing complex cross-border M&A and private equity transactions. Prior to joining Neurochem, Mr. Skinner served as Deputy to the Director of Commercial and Legal Affairs in the London office of Antfactory Limited, a global firm focused on e-commerce and technology investing, small/mid-cap merchant banking and corporate finance advisory work. Mr. Skinner also served in the Corporate Commercial Departments of two leading international law firms in London, England, and Budapest, Hungary.
