Neurochem appoints Claude Michaud New Senior Vice-President Finance & Chief Financial Officer.

Neurochem Inc. (TSX : NRM) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Claude Michaud as Senior Vice-President Finance and Chief Financial Officer.

Mr. Michaud's multi-facetted professional experience will be extremely valuable to Neurochem going forward. Prior to joining Neurochem, Mr. Michaud served as Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer of C-MAC Industries Inc., a leading global electronic manufacturing services company with revenue in excess of $2.5 billion. He also served as Managing Director, Investment Banking, at Scotia Capital Inc., one of Canada's largest investment banks, and as Director, Management Consulting with Secor Group, a high profile Canadian management consulting firm.

Throughout his career, Mr. Michaud developed extensive North American capital markets and corporate finance expertise. At C-MAC, Mr. Michaud contributed to the Company's successful $1-billion U.S. IPO and the concurrent NYSE listing.

Mr. Michaud is a professional engineer, member of the Quebec Order of Engineers. He holds a Bachelor Degree in Engineering from McGill University and an MBA from Cornell University's Johnson Graduate School of Management.
