Dr. Laurent Choppe oversees responsibility for Neurochem (International) Limited's European operations and brings an
extensive international pharmaceutical experience in setting up new businesses and managing multi-functional teams.
Prior to joining Neurochem in September 2004, he led the marketing of major prescription drugs in dermatology, allergy,
respiratory and animal health at Schering-Plough France. In 1998, Dr. Choppe became General Manager and was assigned to
establish the first Schering-Plough subsidiary in Israel, where he developed and headed up business, medical and
regulatory operations. As a co-founder of Pharma Israel, the research-based industry association, he was involved
in the development of new regulations on parallel import, reference pricing and intellectual property rights. In
2002, he moved up to Vice President, Virology, Oncology and Cardiology at Schering Canada Inc., where he launched
two major specialty care products.
Dr. Choppe is a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine of the Université Paris XII, is a laureate of the École
Nationale Vétérinaire d'Alfort (France) and earned a MBA from INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France.
